Changes to pro-ration calculations for mid-year starters

There are now changes made to the pro-ration calculations used for employees who start mid-year.

This change calculates the employee's allowance based on the number of months started in their employment.

This differs from the calculation previously used which was, as all of our pro-ration calculations, based on the number of days.

This chance only affects employees who started mid-year, and do not also finish mid-year (in the same year that they started).

It does not affect:

  • Those who finish mid-year only
  • Those who both start and finish mid-year.

This is disabled by default, so as not to unexpectedly impact existing employee balances.

This can be enabled by setting "Use months started method for mid year started ONLY?" to 'Yes' when editing a Time off type.

Additional fields available in Report Builder for Recruitment

The following fields, which have been recently made available in Recruitment, have now been added to the Report Builder datasets so that they can be reported on:

  • Interviews data source - Video link: This is the field which stores the Teams, Zoom, etc. link the candidate can use to join a video interview.
  • Requisition data source - Internal Recruiter: This is the field added to Requisitions to store the HR, Admin, or Recruiter user who is nominated as the Internal Recruiter for the requisition.

Fixes

Workflows: Time off related tags are not populated in form workflow steps. Issue resolved where the [timeoff_start_date] and [timeoff_end_date] workflow tags were not populated in Send New Form and Send Existing Form workflow steps.

Workflows: Form that triggers workflow upon submission creating multiple emails. Issue resolved where a form/workflow process where a form triggered a workflow on submission generated multiple duplicate emails.

Documents: Employee names not displayed in Mandatory Document Check for HR users. Issue resolved where employee names were not displayed on the Mandatory Document Check screen when accessed by a HR user.

Social: Icons mismatch between those chosen in Social Categories and those used on the Social Stream. Issue resolved where, in some cases, the icons chosen by a user for a Social Recognition Category were not the same as those used when the post appeared on the Stream.

Social: Issues with the Nomination fields when adding Social Recognition via Self Service. Issue resolved where the Nomination field was not marked as mandatory, despite being so. The Nomination field has also been relabelled as "Citation" to be consistent with the tag used in Social Recognition Categories and on the HR version of this page.

Total Reward: Pie Charts not displayed in PDF exports. Issue resolved where the Pie Chart was not correctly displayed in PDF exports of the Total Reward statement.

Directory. In Office' status not displaying in the Table view of the Directory. Issue resolved where the "In Office" status was not displayed when the directory was viewed in the Table view.

Recruitment: Issue with recruiter codes resulting in duplicate candidates. Issue reoslved where if an organization used a recruiter code that exactly matched another code in use, then this resulted in candidates being duplicated when the recruiter code was used.

Recruitment: Breadcrumb errors when adding/editing/viewing candidate notes. Issue resolved where the breadcrumb navigation displayed when managing candidate notes erroneously referred to employee notes.

Pages: Blank screen when leading the Page Categories page. Issue resolved where loading the Page Categories page resulted in a blank screen.

UI: Change to a warning message when using the "Undo leaver status" function. Issue resolved where the "Undo leaver status" function produced a pop-up warning message that was not consistent in format with similar messages elsewhere in the system.

UI: Team filter on homepage calendar does not function when using Firefox. Issue reoslved where the filter/search in the "Team" section of the homepage Calendar filters could stop working on Firefox, for customers with a large number of employees.

Benefits: Clarification to a warning message displayed on the Employee Benefits screen. Issue resolved with a warning message that is displayed on the Employee Benefits screen when the employee's start date is in the current holiday year. This message previously stated that the employee's allowance will be prorated and has been updated to clarify that it may be prorated.

Email: Subject lines are inconsistently formatted. Issue resolved where the format of email subject lines generated by the system was inconsistent. Providing consistent subject lines may help users to create mail filters by subject.

360 feedback: Missing employee names in downloaded data. Issue resolved where downloads of 360 Feedback form data did not contain employee names.

Timesheets: "Week beginning" and "Date created" fields not displayed when "Timesheets bulk approve" is enabled. Issue resolved where the "Week beginning" and "Date created" columns in the Timesheets table were not populated when the "Timesheets bulk approve" option was enabled.

Timesheets: Timesheet approval page is missing the name of the Employee who submitted. Issue resolved where the employee's name did not appear on the Approve Timesheet page. The same issue had been previously resolved for the View Timesheet page.

Time tracking: Employees unable to clock out past midnight. Issue resolved where employees using Time Tracking were unable to Clock Out past midnight as the "Clock in" button was erroneously displayed.

Histories: Employee address history page not loading. Issue resolved where the employee history page was not loading, instead displaying a blank page or HTTP error 500.
