Bulk Update Employees' Work Email Addresses and Company Users

Instead of manually updating employees' work email addresses by going through each employee's file and adding their company users, you can always use the Bulk Upload feature to make this process faster.

1st Step: Bulk Update Employees

First, go to:

Administration > Company > Bulk Upload

Once there, go to the Employees section and click on 'Update Employees':

Once on that page, click on 'Download CSV model'. Once you opened the document, please delete the second row of the CSV file to display an example. From the document, you will need only 2 columns:

  • Employee ID: We recommend using your employees WorksID to allocate your employees faster.
  • Work email: You will need to allocate the "Work email" column (Column AD from the CSV file). This is the field where you will be updating your employees' work email addresses. We recommend putting the WordsID in this case as it allocates your employees better without any errors.

Once these 2 columns have the right information. You can save this and go back to HRWize:

  • Employee field: This corresponds to the Employee ID of your CSV file.
  • Manager fields: This corresponds to any fields that have "Manager" in them.
  • Create a history record for changes: This is if you would like to create history changes.
  • Include archived employees in search?: Does your file also include archived employees?

Once you have uploaded your document, click on 'Submit'.

2nd Step: Bulk Update Company Users

Now that you have updated your employees' work email addresses, it is now time to update their login users.

First, go to:

Administration > Company > Bulk upload

From there, go to the Employees section, and click on 'Company Users'.

Once there, click on 'Download CSV model'. The only fields that you need that are mandatory are "Employee ID", "Login ID", "Password", "Login enabled", and "Usergroup". See the image below for more information.

Once you have the file ready, make sure to save the file as CSV UTC-8. Go back to HRWize, and follow these steps:

Upload your CSV UTC-8 file, and click on 'Submit'. Once submitted, a green bar will appear on top.
