How to stop automatic display when viewing an employee?

If you go to:

People > Employees

When looking at an employee's file in Card View, you are automatically directed to the first employee's file.

If you wish for this to stop, you can now remove this feature by going to:

Administration > Company > Settings > Display Settings

Under Employee Module, set the "Default employee module view" to Card, then set the "Default card option" to None.

Once submitted, if you go back to People > Employees, the first employee's details disappear, instead, you can now select employees from the dropdown below:
