In the performance module, there is an option where you can add warning records on the employee's file. To add a warning on the employee's file, go to:
Performance > Warnings
When adding a new warning for an employee, you will be asked to:
- Select an employee the warning relates to;
- Select the warning type. If you haven't defined your own custom warning types, the system will provide you with a pre-populated list to choose from.
You can always define your own warning types by going to:
Administration > HR > Data Management > Warning Types
Once you have added your warning types, the system will then only allow you to select the warning types that you have defined when adding in a new warning. You will then need to select a start date and end date for the warning being issued:
The warning themselves will be able to be viewed in:
Performance > Warnings
Alternatively, they can be accessed through the employee's card in:
People > Employees > View > Warnings
You can enable managers to view the warnings of their employees in:
Administration > Company Settings > Display Settings
Under the Manager module permissions field, tick the 'Access performance warnings'.
In the same section, you can also enable an option for employees to view their warnings in their Self-Service menu by setting the "Warnings visible to employees" to 'Yes' in the Employee views section.
Once enabled, the employee will be able to view, but not edit nor delete their warnings in:
Self-Service > My Development > My warnings
