The candidate job alert feature allows candidates to enter their name and email address (which they need to confirm by clicking a button in their email, so no one can spam them) and choose what departments, site, company and role they are interested in. When a new job is listed matching that department, they get an email notification letting them know it has been posted so they can look and apply if interested.
To get to this new feature, click on:
Administration > Company > Settings > Recruitment Settings
Once there, go to the Candidate Job Alerts section, and choose 'Yes' for the "Allow candidates to subscribe for job alerts".
Once that is done, 2 new questions will appear, which are "Job alert options" shown in the image below:
When choosing your job alerts options, you can choose between 4 options, which are Department, Site, Company, and Job Title.
These options will appear on the career page when a candidate enters their name and email to be notified about job alerts. They can choose specifically what they wish to be notified with in order to avoid spam mail to those who aren’t looking for it.
Once the candidate job alerts have been activated, you can go to:
Recruitment > Requisitions
In this module, you will find an option to access your portal keys, click on 'Portal Keys':
In your portal keys, you can see all the different career pages that you have created, and you can view them by clicking on the View portal action:
You will then be redirected to your custom career page where the job alert button will appear on the top left corner of the screen.
Once here, you can click on job alerts to be redirected to a new page where you will need to fill out you first and last name, your email address and, depending on the job alerts options you choose, you will also have to decide which departments, sites, company, and roles that you wish to be alerted for:
Once you’ve selected all of your options, you can click on “Register for job alerts” to submit your options and be alerted when necessary.
When you click on the button, you will receive an alert at the top of the page confirming that you have registered for job alerts and to check your email address after which we will register you to receive alerts for roles which match your preferences:
At this point, HRWize will have sent the candidate an email from the one given on the career page, to confirm that the email is correct:
Once you click confirm, you will be redirected to a new page ensuring that your email address has been successfully confirmed:
