When rejecting job candidates it can be helpful to show the reason that they were unsuccessful in their application, especially if their record is retained for the possibility of being offered a new role, to aid in this you can configure your own Rejection Reasons which will simply state the reason for which a candidate was not picked for a role. To add Rejection Reasons navigate to:
Administration -> HR -> Data Management -> Recruitment -> Rejection Reasons.
Before any Reasons are added the Rejection Reasons page will look like this:
To add a new reason simply click the Add button and you'll be taken to the following page:
Configuring rejection reasons is very simple and there are just two fields available:
Reason name: The title of this rejection reason, this should simply state why the candidate was unsuccessful. For example "under-qualified".
Default value?: Used to specify if this rejection reason is the value you'd like for unsuccessful candidates to be given by default. Please Note: Only one rejection reason should be set to default at a time.
Once both fields are completed to your liking click the Submit button and you should see a green banner confirming the submission:
Then if you head back to the Rejection Reasons page you'll see your new reason along with the count of how many candidates have been rejected with this reason:
