Report Builder Date Filters

In report builder, it is possible to apply filters based on the data contained in the specific filter. In this example, the report is filtered to show time off due to specific time off types, in this case just for any sickness time off type.

This creates a report for sickness time off with any dates, in this case, there are 160 individual records:

You can reduce the number of records perhaps by not including all the sickness time off types, but in this case, it is possible to reduce the number of entries in the report by date. Some of the options allow you to specify a range of dates between a start and end date, greater than or equal to this date, this month or this year. There is also an option to filter just on entries with today's date (Today):

In this report, with the filter set to 'Today', only those absences occurring today will be reported:

Please Note - For this report, the data source is Time off period which can report any absence on a specific day between the start and end dates.
