In HRWize, there is a separate subtype of workflow for custom recruitment workflows. When created, these workflows can be selected to be triggered against a candidate at any point in the recruitment module or they can be used to be triggered in conjunction with a candidate advancing through recruitment stages.
When adding a workflow, Recruitment can be found in the Type menu under Task Workflows.
To trigger it against a candidate manually, simply go to:
Recruitment > Candidates
Under the Actions column, click on Workflows. Then, click Start new workflow, and select your recruitment workflow to start it against the candidate:
To trigger your recruitment workflow when a candidate advances through recruitment stages, you must first have recruitment stages set up in by going to:
Recruitment > Options > Recruitment Stages
If you click Edit on a recruitment stage, you can assign a Recruitment workflow to it. This workflow will then trigger automatically when a candidate has advanced to this stage in the recruitment module.
Recruitment Workflow Step Types:
- Send link to candidate's CV - Send an email link to the candidate's CV.
- Send link to candidate's File - Sent a link to the candidate's file.
- Update recruitment stage - Update the recruitment stage of an associated requisition.
Within the recruitment step types, you have the ability to send out links to candidates' CVs and to the candidate file. You may want to use these steps to prompt a user or a team like the HR department to review a candidate's CV as part of the application screening process.
The update recruitment stage step is designed to allow you to trigger a candidate's recruitment stage to automatically update. You could use this in conjunction with a Yes/No step to the hiring manager whereby you ask them whether to progress the candidate or not and in choosing to do so, it updates them to the next recruitment stage.
To select what stage the workflow step updates the candidate to, select it in the stage dropdown box.
