On each employee's card, there is a circular display known as a "Donut". This donut normally shows the total of all of the employee's time off allowances as Individual Allowance types, with the number of days off booked, taken, used in mandatory days, and remaining.
For example, an employee has a total of 34 days allowance (29 days Annual holiday and 5 days Length of service). On the donut, 14 days are taken, 8 days are used up by the company's mandatory days, 3 days are booked, with 9 days remaining.
In some circumstances, you may have a scenario where the employee doesn't have allowances of a given type, but you do want to record and display the number of days they have taken. The system contains an option to allow time off of this type to be displayed in the "Donut".
With this option switched on, the donut display changes:
This shows that the employee has booked or taken 2 days. The value in the center of the donut also changes. Instead of showing the total number of days remaining, it shows the total number of days booked/taken.
This feature can be enabled by going to:
Administration > Company > Settings > Time off settings (global)
Under the Display Settings section, set the "Time off no allowances" to 'Yes'.
It can also be enabled on a site level by going to:
Administation > HR > Data Management > Sites
Please Note - Site-level timeoff settings need to be enabled in order to switch on this feature for an individual site. Once enabled, under the Display Settings heading, set the "Time off no allowances" to 'Yes'. For further information on site level time off settings, click here.
Once this setting is enabled, you will need to choose which time off type to include in the total in the donut. To do this, simply go to:
Administration > HR > Time off management > Time off types
Click the 'Pencil' icon in the Actions column to edit a time off type. Under the Display settings section, set the "Time off no allowances" to 'YES'.
The time off donut will then contain the total number of days booked or taken for all of the time off types with this setting combined.
