The HRWize system has the ability to prorate employee's time off allowances based on mid-year changes to their entitlement.
For example, if Joe Blogg's entitlement for the first 6 months of the year was 20 days and for the latter half of the year this changed to 10 days, the system would give Joe 15 days' annual leave entitlement based on the pro-rate calculation.
In order to set this up, you will firstly, need to be logged in to an Administrator-level account and go to:
Administration > Company > Settings > Time off settings (global)
Under General Settings, you will then need to change the "Prorate allowances upon mid-year changes" option to 'Yes'.
Once submitted, your system will prorate all employees' time off balances based on any mid-year changes.
If this setting is activated, you may receive an amber banner warning you that employee's allowance is being prorated:
If you would like to review the figures which are affecting the balance calculation these can be viewed via:
Administration > HR > History > Employee allowance history
You should ensure that only figures which you would like to have an impact on the employee allowances remain in this table. Any unexpected figures or 0's in this table will be taken into account during the calculation.
