HRWize offers 2 possibilities for the bulk-upload of competencies.
Let's take an example of this bulk-upload template. The first column allows you to choose Employee or Job Role Name in the first column.
Option 1 – Associate Competencies to Job Roles
This option allows you to associate Competencies to Job Roles and will do the following:
- Competencies are automatically associated with the Job Role;
- If a competency is not already existing in HRWize, it will be added to the list of competencies by going to HR > Data Management > Competencies and associated with the Job Role.
You will need to complete Columns A, B, C, and E for this option.
When using this feature, you must be careful to enter the exact name of the competency (beware of typos). Otherwise, it will create a new competency and you will have duplicates.
In this scenario, you associated Competencies with Job roles and then have managers rating the employee’s competencies directly in HRWize. When a manager evaluates a competency, he will see the description. See the image below:
The manager will see the content of the Description field when he is rating a competency. This description can be a definition or can define what is expected at each level (e.g. At 5, you are expected to do YXZ).

Option 2 – Associate Competency Ratings with Employees
In this option, you want to associated Competency Ratings and comments to an employee. You will need to complete Columns A, D, F (optional?) and G (optional?). This option would need to be tested before using it on a large scale.
