Displaying Special Characters in Excel

When downloading a report containing characters such as “à,ç,é,è,ü,ê” etc., it may happen that Excel doesn't recognize them, and display them as such:

In order to avoid this you will need to follow a couple of steps as set up below:

  1. Download the report
    • After having downloaded the report, select it and choose Open with Notepad.
  2. Save as Encoding UTF-8
    • When you are viewing the report in Notepad, go to Save As, and choose the encoding UTF-8, to the left of the Save button:
    • Now when you open the report again in Excel, the special character will be displayed correctly:
Choose files or drag and drop files
