HRWize Patch Notes Version 22.4.3

Release date: December 13, 2022

New Features and Enhancements

Allow Finance users to access Time off

It is now possible for Finance users to be given limited access to the Time off module. This is achieved by checking the "Time off access" checkbox in the Finance user's User account.

This is intended to allow users involved in the payroll process to access time off and related documents - such as fit notes, etc.

The "Time off" menu item will appear in the "Finance" menu.

Access is read-only and the only action available against each Time off record is "View".

When a document has been attached to a Time off record, the user can also download those documents.

Allow Finance users to access selected employee documents

It is now possible for Finance users to be given limited access to the Employee Documents. This is achieved by checking the "Documents access" checkbox in the Finance user's User account, and by setting an Employee Document Category to "Finance access" = Yes.

This is intended to allow Finance users access to documents which might be useful in the payroll process, such as Payslips.

When "Documents access" has been ticked, the Employees module will appear for Finance users.

The Employees module will display in the Table view, showing only the Employees they can access. and the only available action will be Documents.

Click on Documents will give them access to Document Categories where "Finance access" is set to "Yes" and the documents contained therein.

Allowing use of RSS in place of Twitter feed

It is now possible to display the contents of an RSS feed in place of the Twitter feed.

This uses the title, link URL, image URL, and description of each item in the feed.

The RSS feed URL must be valid and the feed itself must conform to the RSS specification. This is achieved by entering a valid RSS feed URL in the "Twitter handle / RSS feel URL" setting within Branding Settings.

The Twitter icon will be replaced with an RSS feed icon in the bullhorn menu and the RSS feed will be displayed in place of the Twitter feed.

Time Off: Displaying a Time off warning message

Within each Time off type, you are able to add a "Description". When the Description field has been populated, the text entered will display when an employee makes a request for that time off type.

Following customer requests, we have now added the ability for this description to be displayed more prominently when employees are requesting time off.

This can be used, for example, when an employee requests Time off using their man Holiday allowance. A warning can be displayed to remind them to use their Carryover allowance first so they don't lose it.

This is achieved by entering text in the "Description" field within "Time off types" and then checking the "Display description as warning message" checkbox.

The text entered will then be displayed as a "warning" when the employee books Time off.

Fixes

Time off: Issue booking time off when the max days/hours value is set 0. Issue resolved where users were prevented from booking Time Off when the max days or hours for a request was set to 0 (or blank) on the time off type. Setting this to 0 (or blank) should mean that no limit is applied.

Reporting: OR/Grouping not working correctly. Issue resolved where the filter options and AND/OR logic were not being correctly applied when running reports and charts of various types in Report Builder.

Forms: Issues when using an apostrophe in form name. Issue resolved where using an apostrophe in the name of a form which contained a File Upload field caused an error when submitting the form.

Forms: Managers able to download Form Responses for "Other" type forms to which they did not have access. Issue resolved where Manager users were able to download Form data for forms of type "Other", where "Manager" was not specified in the "User Groups" for the form.

Reporting: Report categories showing incorrect count. Issue resolved where the "badge" count shown on Report categories did not accurately reflect the number of Reports contained in the Category.
