HRWize Patch Notes Version 22.2.9

Release Date: June 28, 2022

New UI Enhancements

New UI: Holiday requests for future years

Previously we have always shown the remaining allowance for the current year when requesting time off.

We have updated the time off modal in the new UI so that it will now display the remaining allowance for the year in which the time off request falls.

Example :

  • If an employees time off allowance runs from January to December and they try to request a holiday for February 2023, we will now display their remaining allowance for their 2023 holiday year instead of the current year’s allowance.
  • This change has been implemented to make it easier for employees booking time off and for managers/approvers approving time off requests in future holiday years.

New UI: Time off model layout

We have updated the layout of the time off model which is used by employees when
requesting time off in the new UI.

Previously the Time off Type field was appearing at the bottom of the modal. This
has been moved to the top of the modal so it is the first field you select.

We will then update the rest of the modal based on your selection.

E.g. we will display the remaining allowance if you have selected a time off type with an allowance, or we will display the “Add attachment” field if the time off type you have selected has been configured to allow attachments.

New UI: Employee Time off table view

We have updated the Time off table view that employees see when they access Self Service > My Requests > Time off

Previously, employees could only see manager comments from the table view and would need to view each time off record to see any employee comments they may have added themselves. The table view they saw was different to the view seen by managers / HR / Admins.

We have now updated the employee table view so they can see all comments from the table view in the same way that other users can.

Each comment will be displayed as a black speech bubble. Hovering over each of the speech bubbles will display the comment.

New UI: Ability to view time off from the Planner

We have added new functionality to the Planner which will allow you to see details of time off records directly from the planner - removing the need for you to navigate to the Time off section to see more information.

You can still hover over dates to see what each of the entries on the planner relates to. In addition to this you can also noclick on any time off entry to see more details. Note : This functionality is only available for time off entries.

You will be presented with a slimmed down version of the time off modal you are used to seeing when requesting/viewing your own time off records. This will be read only.

Employees are able to see this additional information for their own time off records, but not for colleagues.

Managers, HR Users & Admins are able to see this additional information for the employees whose time off records they can access (e.g. managers can see this information for the employees within their team).

New UI: Calendar toggle for My Team / Admin view

We have made a small update to the homepage calendar in the new UI to relocate the My Team / Admin toggle to be right-aligned.

It will now appear above the month, week, day options.

New UI: 'Upcoming items' renamed to 'Upcoming events'

A small change has been made to the homepage to rename Upcoming items to Upcoming events. This has been renamed to better reflect what is displayed within this section.

New UI: Sort order chevrons updated

A small change has been made to the tables throughout the system. We have changed the colour of the sort order chevrons so they will now display in a darker grey making them easier to see.

New UI: Selecting "Team" or "Reports to" opens a new tab

Following customer feedback, we have updated the employee card so that if an employee is selected from the ‘Reports to’ section or the ‘Team information’ section, the selected employees card will be opened in a new tab.

This change has been made to make it easier to review another employees record without having to navigate away from the record you are already working on.

Enhancements

Separate continuous workflows for personal details

We have added new functionality to Workflows which will now allow you to create continuous workflows for changes to specific personal details fields.

Previously, you could trigger a workflow when personal details changed, however in some cases it would be difficult to identify which field had actually changed and what the next steps should be.

Now you can trigger specific workflows when any of following fields are changed, allowing you to create tailored workflows which are specific to the information which has been updated :

  • Employee surname
  • Employee gender
  • Address fields only

You’ll find new options for each of the above fields in the ‘Option’ field when creating your continuous workflow.

Breadcrumb trail navigation

We have made some improvements to the breadcrumb trails that appear throughout the system to make it easier to navigate back to previous pages.

Previously there would be some instances where users would end up back at the home page or other areas of the system instead of being returned to area they needed. Now you will be able to use the improved breadcrumb trails to navigate back to where you want to be.

Renaming of the Cancel button

Following customer feedback, we have made a number of changes throughout the system to amend the ‘Cancel’ button to now be called ‘Back’.

Wherever you are simply viewing information (no changes can be made), you will now have the option to select Back instead of Cancel.

However if you are accessing a page where changes can be made e.g. the Edit page on the employee card, you will continue to see options for Submit or Cancel.

Cloning Reports

We have updated the ‘Clone’ functionality within Report Builder so that if you are cloning a report which is saved within a specific category, the cloned version will also now be saved in that same category too.

This means you will no longer need to go through the process of locating your cloned report and then updating the report category manually.
