Form Field Names in Workflows

When creating an email message on a workflow step, you can add in placeholders to pull information about an employee and certain information about items relating to employees such as time off requests, expenses, and mileage reports.

You can also use these placeholders to pull the data of responses on form fields from forms that were sent out via your workflows.

For example, when creating a form in the form builder, if you want to see an employee's response to the overall satisfaction option, you can do so by copying and pasting the Database field name and put it as a placeholder in your workflow step email.

In this case, the name of this database is called "happinessScale". Set this database as a placeholder in your workflow step email as shown below. The workflow step type used is "Send form which triggered workflow", where the employee must fill out the form and the form will be sent to the recipient, which in this case, is the employee's manager.

Make sure that in your form builder, the "Trigger workflow on submission" field is set to the correct workflow.

Now that you have everything set, the employee's manager will get an email with the correct placeholder.
