The HRWize Report Builder allows you to create custom reports to meet your business needs. These reports can be shared with other HRWize users who are members of specific user groups (HR, Manager, Finance, Recruitment, Trainer, Facilities, Approver).
Click here for more information on the permissions these user group access levels have.
By default, members of the Admin user group have access to all datasets, both standard, and those based on custom forms. The remaining user groups, including HR, must be given permission to access the datasets in order that they can not only view, but also build reports based on a dataset.
Report builder access is given at a user group level - this means ALL users of that user group can then access that dataset. In the case of a manager, for example, they will be able to report on the dataset but they would only be able to see results related to their employees.
If you give HR, Finance, Recruitment, Trainer, and Facilities user groups access to a dataset, it will show them the information for all employees across the whole company. Members of the employee user group can not be given access to any datasets.
To set up the dataset permissions, go to:
Administration > Company > Report Builder Permissions
Here, you will see the screen below. To allocate permissions to a specific report to a user group, tick the box where the report and the user group meeting in the table:
Please Note - By default, the HR level user group has NO access to reporting. You will have to give them access if you want them to be able to view any reports.
When you give managers access to any report, the report will only show the data for their employees (i.e. those employees who have the manager set as their manager in the employee file).
HR, Finance, and Recruitment user level groups are not filtered at all. If you give them access to a report, it shows them the information for all employees across the whole company.
Finally, there is no way to allow employee-level users to have access to any reporting at this time.
Now that you have added any permissions for a user group, Reporting will then appear in their menu bar. Once the user clicks on Report Builder, they will only see the relevant reports and report groups based on their permissions as set above.
