ORG Chart Settings

HRWize provides an organization chart feature, accessible by users at all level users, which allows them to visualize all employees in the context of the organizational structure, where they function within their business, who they report to, and if applicable, who reports to them.

In the company settings menu, there is a section for organisational chart settings. You can find this by going to:

Administration > Company > Settings > Company settings > Org chart settings

There are 4 options that are available to you:

  • Org chart default depth - By default, the org chart displays 5 levels when the org chart loads. Anyone below that is not shown and needs to revealed by clicking the plus under the name of the manager. By using this option, you can choose to display more or fewer levels on your first load by entering a number value on this field.
  • Org chart mouse zoom - You can zoom the chart in or out using your mouse wheel if you select 'Yes'. You can turn this option off if needed by selecting 'No'.
  • Org chart dotted line - EXPERIMENTAL - This is where you can have a dotted line in addition to the employee's manager. This can be either linked to the employee's Head of Department or Super Approver. In this example, the "Approver" option was selected and we can see the approver dotted line between the employee and the HR manager.mceclip0.png
  • External URL - If you are using an external org chart, you can enter the iframe URL provided in this box. Once entered, the iframe will show in the org chart.

Please Note - This will only work if the iframe is https and must be included in the URL.

When you go to the org chart itself, there is a menu at the bottom right with 4 additional buttons:

  • Expand all - If the user has nodes hidden, this button will open all nodes in the whole chart.
  • View whole chart - If zoomed in, this will take you back to the whole chart in a whole.
  • Zoom in
  • Zoom out
