Time Off Range Report

Within HRWize's Report Builder, there is the option to run a standard Time off range report which will allow you to view all time off within a particular date range.

To access the Timeoff range report (Standard), you will need to go to:

Reporting > Report Builder

Searching for "Standard" reports, you will see the 'Timeoff range report (Standard)' listed. Then, click on the 'Edit' action:

You can customize this report to better suit your business needs by:

  1. Changing the report name
  2. Add or remove any fields as required
  3. Edit field names or rearrange the order they will appear on your report
  4. Select a "Group" by field if required
  5. Add your own start and end dates for the range you want to report on
  6. Click on 'Edit report' followed by 'View report'

Each of the lines in the table will represent a single date where an employee has time off entered between the date range. If a request spans across multiple different days, each of these days will show as an individual line in the report.

Filtering the Time Off Range Report

Use the "Request ID" to group and identify those lines which are linked to the same request:

The report is now grouped by "Request ID":

Now, we want to improve the Date column by sorting the date. Here we have selected

Date

Ascending

as one of our "Select order by fields":

Using filters, the report can be manipulated further. E.g. we can add another filter by clicking on the "+".

We can change the start and end dates and then add a filter. In this case, we'll add:

Reason

Equals

Vacation

The report will not show only instances of Vacation between the chosen date range:
