Use of [request_status] tag

Approval processes can be completed using a custom workflow and oft-times it is necessary to update a user on what the outcome of their request was. 

The [request_status] tag can be used in this instance and when used in a workflow message or subject the tag will be replaced with the current status of the request, for example:

This email is to notify you that your time off requests is [request_status].

Would become:

This email is to notify you that your time off requests is approved.

The [request_status] tag works in conjunction with employee requests like Time off, Training, Timesheets and Expenses/Mileage.

However please note the tag cannot be used in relation to Job change approvals.
