Absence rate appears in 2 places within the system; on the home screen dashboard & the employee's card view.
To calculate the company absence rate is the total number of days of unauthorized time off in a 12 month rolling period for all employees / Total number of days all employees could have worked in the 12-month rolling period = Absence Rate.
For an individual employee, the absence rate shown in the report above is the total number of days lost as a percentage of the total days an employee could have worked, for example:
An employee works 5 days per week:
- Working days 5 * 52 = 260
- Days absence 26
- Absence rate (26 / 260) * 100 = 10%
An employee works 3 days per week:
- Working days 3 * 52 = 156
- Days absence 9
- Absence rate (9 / 156) * 100 = 5.77%
