How to Clear your Browser's Cache

Clearing your browser's cache may help with certain actions in your environment as well as some pages not displaying properly. Here is an easy step by step guide on how to do so on a few different browsers.


Using Google Chrome:

  1. Click the menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  2. Hover over "More Tools" and select "Clear Browsing Data".
  3. Make your selection for the time range. (The recommendation is "All time")
  4. Ensure that the "Cached images and files" checkbox is selected.
  5. Finally, click "Clear data" and your system will clear the cache, which depending on how much there is to clear might take a few seconds. 

Using Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click the menu icon "..." in the top right corner of the browser.
  2. Click on "Settings" at the bottom of the list.
  3. Once at the settings page, you can search "Cache" or simply choose the "Privacy, search, and services" section and scroll down to "Clear browsing data".
  4. There you can select the "Choose what to clear" button. 
  5. Ensure that the "Cached images and files" checkbox is selected.
  6. Finally, click "Clear now" and your system will clear the cache, which depending on how much there is to clear might take a few seconds.

Using Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click the menu icon "≡" in the top right corner of the browser.
  2. Click on "Settings" at the bottom of the list.
  3. Once at the settings page, you can search "Cache" or simply choose the "Privacy, & Security" section and scroll down to "Cookies and Site Data".
  4. There you can select the "Clear Data" button.
  5. Ensure that the "Cached Web Content" checkbox is selected.
  6. Finally, click "Clear" and your system will clear the cache, which depending on how much there is to clear might take a few seconds.

Using Safari (8+):

  1. Go to the Safari  menu at the top left corner of your device.
  2. Select "Clear History"
  3. Select the time for which you would like to clear your cache. (The recommendation is "All time")
  4. Finally, click "Clear History " and your system will clear the cache, which depending on how much there is to clear might take a few seconds.
